The Xin Bao (Heart Protector)

Working with thehe Xin Bao (AKA Heart Protector) is what makes my practice of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine different from other acupuncturists. The Heart Protector is all but forgotten in Oriental Medicine. Understanding of it was suppressed not only by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), but also by successive regimes over the past 2,500 years. My learning about the Heart Protector came from the Mao Shan sect of Taoism whose specialty is working with its power to restore health on all levels. The Mao Shan sect is believed by some to be 5,500 years old (older than mainstream Taoism itself). The Mao Shan have long been shunned by Chinese society.
The Heart Protector is a literal ball of Lightning surrounding the Heart, the seat of the Soul within the Body. This is why medical professionals use defibrillation (an electric shock through the Heart) to reestablish a heartbeat in the event of cardiac arrest. Cardiologists at the HeartMath Institute have studied the electromagnetic nature of the Heart for many years. They found fascinating connections between the Heart and both the Gut and Brain. With proper instrumentation, they found the energetic pulse of the heartbeat is detectable up to 60 feet away.
The Heart Protector is an electromagnetic containment field, much like the Ecto-Containment Unit in the 1984 film Ghost Busters. As a containment field, the Heart Protector protects the Soul from the emotional harshness of our reality, and protects our reality from the infinite power and no bullsh!t nature of the Soul. Being a ball of electromagnetic energy, the Heart Protector stores information just like a hard drive or data cloud. When the Heart Protector’s emotional storage capacity is full, we begin to suffer from physical and mental dis-ease. This is why our bodies suffer from draining emotional experiences. At that point, we need to defragment the Heart Protector and release old, stagnant, unneeded emotional information from it.
The way I practice acupuncture is geared toward detoxing, harmonizing, and strengthening the Heart Protector. I dedicated (and continue to dedicate) thousands of hours to studying the workings Heart Protector, and how to use this knowing in my practice. The Heart Protector is connected to all organs and tissues in the body. These insights allowed me to develop a practice style that is different than most acupuncturists.
Teaching Mao Shan style Chi Gong is a major part of my practice. This style of Chi Gong is also very different than what everyone else is practicing. It generates a lot of energy from the first practice session and allows us to find, confront, and release draining emotional energy that has been stuck in the body and mind for many years.
